Volunteer Opportunities

Social Media Volunteer

Role Description: For All Womankind’s social media volunteer will help drive the brands online presence through research, content creation, and the development of original editorial concepts.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position that requires approximately 4-6 hours of work per week, reports directly to senior leadership and collaborates closely with other For All Womankind volunteers. Candidates should have strong writing skills and have previous experience in social media and or digital marketing. Candidates should be culturally tuned in, and be passionate about civil rights, with a particular interest in women’s rights and equality. They should also be self-starters that enjoy connecting people and making shit happen. Ideally this role will be based in New York, however there is the option to work remotely and telecommute.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and schedule social media posts 
  • Create execute and maintain an editorial calendar 
  • Assist with content creation and copywriting across FAW's social media platforms 
  • Contribute to ideation and execution of social media campaigns and brand marketing activations 
  • Responsible for the execution of the For All Womankind twitter account 
  • Track engagement and follower growth on a weekly and monthly basis 
  • Researching and documenting both historical and current relevant issues 
  • Assist with community management 
  • Support with operations and communications roles
  • Perform other light administrative duties as assigned

Event Planning Volunteer

Role Description: For All Womankind’s event planning volunteer will help drive the brands new community building initiatives through outreach, production, and the development of original event and fundraising concepts.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position that requires approximately 4-6 hours of work per week, reports directly to senior leadership and collaborates closely with other For All Womankind volunteers. Candidates should have strong writing skills and have previous experience in event planning or coordination. Candidates should be culturally tuned in, and be passionate about civil rights, with a particular interest in women’s rights and equality. They should also be self-starters that enjoy connecting people and making shit happen. This role will be based in New York, and there will be the option to telecommute.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the planning and production of our speaker series
  • Support the FAW team in any event related activities
  • Assist in the research and production of our upcoming public fundraising event
  • Some administrative duties, including outreach to collaborators
  • Managing event timelines, invoices and contracts
  • Creating and maintaining multiple spreadsheets
  • Juggling multiple projects and schedules to meet FAW objectives
  • Coordination with event producers and different vendors
  • Perform other light administrative duties as assigned
